Meet Pastor Lacey Wheeler
Pastor Lacey Wheeler is thrilled to join the ministry at Rose Hill United Methodist Church. With a lifelong passion for worship, creativity, and community, Lacey finds joy in bringing people together to serve God using their unique gifts.
Lacey has served in a variety of ministry roles over the years, including Worship Leader at Chapel Hill UMC in Wichita, Coordinator of Worship, Hospitality, and Young Adult Ministries at McPherson FUMC, Associate Pastor, and most recently Lead Pastor at Marquette UMC. Through these experiences, she has developed a heart for empowering teams, nurturing creativity in ministry, and helping people connect more deeply with God.
One of Lacey’s greatest passions is preaching scripture. She delights in exploring the text deeply and discovering what God is calling us to today. She also loves finding creative ways to express worship through music, art, and other forms of expression.
Lacey holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Wichita State University, a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Friends University, and a Master of Divinity from Saint Paul School of Theology. Her education and experience equip her to build up the body of Christ and encourage others to participate fully in God’s work.
Outside of ministry, Lacey enjoys spending time with her husband Ben and their son Brighton, whether it’s taking walks, doing escape rooms, or simply enjoying family life.
Pastor Lacey looks forward to guiding and growing with the Rose Hill UMC community as they engage in the work God is already doing in this place.
